Yup, that’s your Region 9 President, Anna Lee! It’s her 4th year as an FCCLA affiliate and 3rd year in an FCS focused class. She’s going on with the 2024-2025 school year as a junior at Rowland High School. As her most hectic yet thrilling year approaches, she dares to dream about the memories she will create as an FCCLA region officer and all that lies ahead! ~“I Have a Dream.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
Hey! It’s Kylan, an incoming senior at Paramount High School. This will be his 3rd year in FCCLA as well as his 2nd year serving as a region officer. He has been Chapter President, Region Treasurer, and now Region Vice President. He has competed in both Sports Nutrition Levels 2 and Level 3. In Kylan’s free time he enjoys working out, playing soccer, fixing anything with an engine, and enjoying the outdoors. Kylan is daring to dream that this year he can assist the team with all needed tasks and bring enjoyment to FCCLA for all region 9 members.
Rebeca Guevara is an incoming sophomore at Rowland High School. She is starting her 4th year in FCCLA and her 2nd region Officer term. She has been Chapter President, Chapter VP, Region historian and now Region Secretary. She has competed in Culinary display level 1 and in Food Innovations level 2. In her free time Rebeca enjoys reading, crocheting, and baking! Rebeca is daring to dream that this year can be full of fun memories for all the members of Region 9.
Aiden Ho, a Junior at Rowland High School, has been an active member of FCCLA for 2 years and involved in FCS for 1 year. An interesting fact about Aiden is that he is a D1 Video Gamer which has instilled in him a strong sense of determination and discipline. As a Region 9 Officer, Aiden strives to win every competition and challenge that is in front of him in order to compensate for his massive ego.
Doris Tseng, a junior at Rowland High School, is enthusiastic about her third year in FCCLA, having joined the organization a year after starting FCS. Doris has a unique fascination with chicken, dubbing it her favorite food-animal. Her ambitious dream is to serve as a regional officer in FCCLA that brings a smile to everyone around her through her role as Region 9 Historian.
Giovanni, an incoming senior at Paramount High School. This will be his 2nd year in FCCLA and his first ever year serving as a region officer. He has competed in Sports Nutrition Level 3. In Gio’s free time he enjoys working out, hanging out with friends, and sleeping. This year, Gio is daring to dream that he can help his team members with as much as he can and encourage all Region 9 members to experience FCCLA to the fullest.
Mrs. Taylor has been teaching FCS classes and advising FCCLA State, Region and Chapter members for over 20 years at Rowland High School. She is a graduate of CSU, Chico majoring in Child Development with a minor in psychology. She teaches in the Child Development and Education pathway courses called Child Development, Life Management and Parenting & Family Life. She is married with two children, ages 16 and 13. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing students connect with her in their journey through high school and after they graduate, hearing how she helped them in so many ways. She enjoys advising FCCLA because of the relationships fostered over the years as their advisor, watching them dare to challenge themselves and take on bigger responsibilities at school and later on in life.
