
Region Officers/Region Coordinator







Alana Navarro is a junior at Matilda Torres high school chapter. She has been in FCCLA for 3 years now and this is her second year as a Region officer. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, reading and hiking. She also enjoys playing volleyball and softball. Her goal this year is to continue growing her leadership skills as well as meeting new people across California. Alana joined FCCLA to get out of her comfort zone and help better her leadership abilities. Alana hopes to pursue a teaching degree after high school.
Ivan is the region 8 Vice President and is a senior at Madera South high school and has been in FCCLA for 3 years. He enjoyed playing video games, hanging out with friends, and shopping. His goal in FCCLA is to meet new people and to introduce new people to the amazing FCCLA. He is a part of the Class of 2024 club and the ASB at his school where he holds the title of ASB Commissioner of Spirit and Class of 2024 class representative.
Lydia Vasquez is a Sophomore at Madera High school.This is her first time serving as a region officer. She is also her chapter’s VP of community service. She enjoys singing karaoke, hanging out with friends, and traveling!
Emma is a senior at Central East high school and has been in FCCLA for almost 3 years. It is her first year as the region 8 treasurer and she is the previous Central East high school FCCLA chapter secretary. In Emma's free time she enjoys to read and hang out with her friends. Emma joined FCCLA to become better in her leadership skills and improve on her public speaking abilities.
Giselle Vasquez is a senior at Madera High and has been in FCCLA four years. She has served as Chapter Reporter and Vice President and now Region 8 Historian. She loves to crochet as well as reading books. Her goal is to use what she has learned in FCCLA and take that with her and use it for her future career. Giselle Vasquez wants to become an elementary school teacher when she is older.
The region 8 reporter is Ruby Marentes-Cabrera. This will be her third year in FCCLA, and her second year as a region officer. She was also the chapter vice president during her freshman year of high school at Matilda Torres. Ruby enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, listening to music, and trying new activities outside of FCCLA. Her goals for this year include getting to know other chapters and region officers and improving her public speaking skills.
Mrs. Stetsko is the 2022-23 Region 8 Coordinator. She is the Advisor for the Madera High Chapter. Her skills include: being proficient at embarrassing her kids on Facebook and Instagram; correctly predicting the outcome of WWE matches; and sarcasm. She hopes to one day win the lotto and move to the beach.
